GOLD COAST AIRPORT MASTERPLAN
The design intent was to integrate the natural and unique qualities of the regions environment with the specific requirements of the constructed landscape and architecture of a contemporary airport environment. Upon arrival visitors are greeted with a vibrant relaxed atmosphere that provides visual references to the coast and the hinterland. The design incorporated plant species and planting designs that reflect this passage of mountain to the sea. The design addresses hydrology, concealment and public amenity around transitions from terminal to car park.
